The Missouri Association of Fire Chiefs (MAFC)

The MAFC is specifically setup to bring Fire Chiefs all over the State of Missouri to a forum of communication, comaradery, and professionalism. Our annual conference is held at the beautiful Big Cedar Lodge Resort in the heart of the Ozarks. IAFC Presidents, seasoned Fire Chiefs, and renowned guest speakers have participated in providing valuable training and the future is only getting better. With a growing network of Fire Chiefs accross the State, MAFC has continued to stay on top of political hot-bed issues that affect you. Members are connected through an email list serve which vital information is sent out almost daily.



  • This is a reminder that the early registration deadline for FRI is quickly approaching. Please reach out to your neighboring chiefs and give them a gentle reminder. The FRI Early Registration Deadline is July 15.
  • Chief Eric Littrell from Winigan Rural Fire District in Sullivan County is looking to acquire a metal water tank that could be donated to replace theirs that has been damaged. He is looking for a 2,000-3,000 gallon tank to be placed on a 2012 Freightliner AWD given to them by the conservation department. If you have something to offer, please contact Chief Littrell directly at or 660-292-1583.
  • O'Fallon Fire Protection District Promotes Thomas A. Parrish to Battalion Chief
    The Board of Directors voted unanimously to promote Captain Andy Parrish to Battalion Chief at their June 10, 2015 board meeting. 
  • Missouri Fire Sprinkler Coalition Awarded $5,000 NFPA Grant
  • The Missouri Fire Sprinkler Coalition recently received notification that they had been awarded a $5,000 grant from NFPA to help create a state-wide education program concerning home fire sprinkler systems.

  • Battlefield FPD Award Assistance to Firefighting Grant (AFG): The Battlefield Fire Protection District (BFPD) received an $180,000 Assistance to Firefighter Grant (AFG) to purchase a mobile training trailer.
  • City of Bolivar Purchases 2015 Ferrara MVP: Bolivar City Fire Department (BCFD) has purchased a new 2015 Ferrara MVP.
